Hello, we are Andrew and Amanda. Welcome to 46 By the Creek, our holiday home in Faversham. We love this house and its location and feel sure you will too.

 

Having holidayed here for the past thirty-odd years, we were thrilled to inherit it. However, it needed considerable renovation. We would say it was a labour of love but in reality it was often fraught with issues, costing us much loss of sleep (not to mention cash) and taking far longer than anticipated.

The outcome though is worth the trials and tribulations: we are proud of what we achieved and the skills we never knew we had!

Why do we love this house? It has character: we haven’t gutted it and made it ultra-modern, but it is comfortable. It has a lovely sunny outlook. The rear patio is perfect for relaxing until late evening. It’s an easy walk into town or along the creek. There are pubs and eateries nearby. So many reasons.

​

But probably the biggest reason is its position on the creek. To look out of the window, or sit on the bank, and watch rowers going by, or small boats, and see the sailing barge Repertor slowly turning to sail up the creek to the Swale estuary feeds the soul.

​

It’s also perfectly positioned for exploring the surrounding areas: countryside, coast, towns. And to return to a welcoming home that’s also cosy in winter is bliss.
